Ne-Yo Soul Nights

    So I thought that I'd post right before I went to bed tonight.  No really big updates, sorry.  I am excited for this weekend though.  Saturday is my 6 month anniversary and I cant wait to spend the day getting all pretty for a night out with my babe.  Sunday is his talk, the first with his new outline, and I really cant wait to hear it and I know he'll do good.  Plus you KNOW we goin out after that too.  I plan on getting real fat this weekend.  Ooo and speaking of food, I cooked tonight.  Fried chicken wings, mixed  veggies, and mac n cheese.  YUMMM!!! I even called my sis in law to join in on the good eats. 

    Today was such a crazy day, the rain made it horrible.  I tried to make the best of it with a doc visit and lunch with the Mr.  We had fun, but tomorrow is back to work.  -_- .... So when I got home I watched that movie "Dear John".....i was so pissed...i didnt like what happened before the ending...not as fairytale-ish as I wanted, but I guess it turned out to be a good movie anyway. 

    So I lay here with my laptop on my lap...*funny* and my ipod playing through my stereo sharing my day with you all.  *yawns* Well now I think I should sign off before I fall asleep with this thing...and it gets hot...lol.... so before I burn my legs... GOODNIGHT!!!

Makeup and Freelance

    Lately I have been thinking about doing something on the side.  I had to think long and hard about what I wanted to do and whether or not I would be satisfied doing it.  I came up with the obvious, if you know me, MAKEUP!!! YAYYYY!!!  I'm going to take this slow and try my best to stay committed to my decision.  I have to say that I am somewhat inspired by my sister (STINKKKKKK)... who has gone into a business of her own.  *proud moment* As soon as her site is up and running I will let you know the address (Clue: cupcakes).

    So I've been doing some research and I am not giving up my current job for this however I am going to freelance.  That would be easier for my schedule and hopefully more bookings on the weekend.  So I need to make a website, portfolio, business cards and complete my kit.  Afterwards I will be able to network and dive straight into it. 

    Lets see where this goes....

Random Look Into the Meaning of My Blog

    So I was taking a look at my blog and trying to decide what I was going to do with it next, as far as the design, pictures and so on.  Last night I tried to fool around with some designs and so far I put up a picture and a "Muzik" playlist.  There is a lot more where that came from, just be patient with me.

    At first glance, I'm sure you can recognize where the title of my blog came from.  If not then you missed out on a great album.  I thought that maybe an explanation of the title was needed so here I go.  When I was younger I used to write a lot, poetry that is.  I have notebooks full of stuff that I wrote.  Ever since my dad died, in 2001,  I haven't written as much and I think that's a little backwards but I really haven't.  I penned some stuff around the time of my pregnancy and then stopped again.  So this blog if anything is freedom to me.  I can write how I feel and share it with you all.  Maybe when I get things sorted out at home, I'll post some of my writings and let you all in on them. 

    So that's the reason for the title...Anyways, be on the look out for more changes to the blog and many more posts.

She Works Hard For The Money

  Ha!! I finally posted something without my sister having to remind me. Yayyy for me!

   Today is Wednesday and I have yet to get into the swing of things.  I am so tired and it seems like I am still on AL time.  I would love to sleep in all day but now I will be starting a new schedule at work.  So that is next to impossible unless I take a day to myself and I would rather pay some bills and get that out the way.  Isn't that the way it goes though.  After the good news from my supervisor I immediately thought of ways to save and save and then thoughts of paying off certain things began to flood my mind.  In short I realized that Biggie was right....(lol) More Money More Problems... whether it be baby mama drama or bill collectors, More Money More Problems.  That right there should be a clear sign to anyone that money can't buy you happiness.  Maybe a Porsch but not happiness. ;-)

   Yesterday my son started his first day of Pre-K 4 and he is going full time now.  I'm such the proud parent.  Although I was unable to make it to his first day at school, I feel good knowing that my mother took him and he enjoyed his day.  His school has a website that I can check to see what his class is doing this week.  On another note, he has off tomorrow.  He just started and he has off. Man... why dont they do this at work.  I want naptime and coloring time and lunch with a healthy snack.  That would be so awesome to have off for all these holidays that no one really cares about.  Dream on MiMi...

   Ahhh, let me get back to work guys...I think I'll post another by lunch time...
