Have you ever felt as though the people that you truly love and would do anything for don't do for you the way that they should? Just think on that...
This weekend was an awesome weekend. I had a long day out in service on Saturday with my friends. We went to a small cafe like place in the area and ate lunch and then went on returns, some productive and others weren't. Sunday was even better!! But I'll get to that in a sec. I loved being able to spend the day in service and then come home and rest. It's a good sort of tired and sometimes I don't want to get up in the ..... ok MOST of the time I don't want to get up. Knowing that I am doing whats right makes it worth while though.
Sunday- WOW!! We had so much fun. Sometimes I am truly taken back by the brotherhood and the way that we know each other without knowing each other. Despite different attitudes, backgrounds, and skin color we all are in this together and its like we've known each other since birth. You've got to love it. We sat around a fire and made smores which was awesome. My friend assisted in making this crazy smore bar that was so yummy. White chocolate, milk chocolate, peanut butter, marshmallows (of course), graham crackers, chocolate graham crackers ...OMG... it was so good. Then we had a lesson on how to make successful smores and for the most part we all got it right. Even my son was spotted roasting a marshmallow. Hmm what else... We got to play volley ball and I actually put some effort into hitting the ball. YAY Me!!! There were caramel apples and rice krispy treats on deck, lol. I was really happy on Sunday.
Now, the title of this blog entry is "Friendship"...Sunday I was able to bond with another one of my close friends (sister). I mean this whole year I think that I have been doing a lot better with coming out of my shell but Sunday was a real milestone for me. We talked about relationships, the good the bad and the oh so ugly. LOL. We spoke about some friends that we have lost spiritually and the road that they are headed. I wish that there was some light bulb moment that I could force upon some of these people to help them realize that there is nothing out there for them but heartache and death (ultimately). As the saying goes, "you can lead a horse to water but you cant make him drink". Well I think that at this point in my life that is where I am. I wish that there was a way to make her see that this is where she needs to be and that she would be so much more happy. I feel that I have a fight within myself ...more of a loyalty thing. (ok now this will all tie together) As I was driving home Sunday, I thought to myself, partially out loud, that I may have lost one...but think of how many I have gained...people that truly love me and are there for me through it all. My bestie is far from me but very close to my heart and I know that I can count on her. I have so many sisters in my hall that are my true sisters. Little sisters, big sisters....and I love them all so very much. (getting misty) ......(sigh).....
So the moral of this story (blog entry) is to know who your real friends are...make sure you love them, because we never know what the day will bring... I can safely say that if family is a blessing... I have to be the most blessed chick in the world...

SURPRISE!!!
Today my sis surprised me and came to my house...how crazy is that. I thought I was going downstairs to help out my sister in law and I see my sister in the hallway. I screamed and hugged her. I was shocked and so happy at the same time. That was a great surprise. Unfortunately she's up here for a funeral. Since this is a 3 day weekend for me though, Im sure we will get into something. Now how is that for surprising....
I also gave our big sis a makeover today. I think it came out real well. I should have taken a photo of it. Just one step closer to having the confidence I need to go further with this makeup gig. Plus she loves makeup too, so I was able to share some advice and talk about makeup for a day. That was nice...
Im yawning every 3 seconds, so goodnite loves...until next time...
